UNIMAID portal update deadline at a Glance
UNIMAID has required all undergraduates to complete their portal records. The deadline is Thursday, 8 October 2026.
- Fresh and returning undergraduates are covered.
- Bio-data must match official admission records.
- Students need document uploads and an electronic signature.
- Core and elective courses require online registration.
- Incomplete records can trigger automatic withdrawal.
The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) has required all new and returning undergraduates to complete their online profiles and course registration by Thursday, 8 October 2026. The exercise covers bio-data and document uploads, along with electronic signatures.
Students should sign in to the UNIMAID student portal to complete the required records. Management says incomplete profiles and outstanding course registrations remain on the system.
Bio-data and admission records
Students need to review their personal details and correct any errors, ensuring that their name format and date of birth match official admission records. Their local government of origin must also be accurate.
Documents required for upload
Clear, legible scans of the following documents should be uploaded to the portal dashboard:
- JAMB admission letter and JAMB result slip
- O’level result certificates from WAEC, NECO or NABTEB
- Primary School Leaving Certificate
- Certificate of Indigene / Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age
- Digital passport photograph with a plain background
Electronic signature options
The portal offers two ways to provide an electronic signature. Students may sign directly on a mobile screen using a finger or stylus.
The other option is to sign in black ink on plain white paper, then take a clear photograph or scan and upload it to the designated field.
Online course registration
Students must select and register all core and elective courses for the current semester, checking each choice against their department’s approved syllabus. The course selection is then submitted for departmental approval.
Deadline and stated consequences
The portal remains open for updates until 8 October 2026. Management states that students who fail to complete the required profile updates and uploads, together with course registration, will be automatically withdrawn.
The university says this applies even to students who have completed their final examinations for the current session. Academic records and results will not be processed for unverified profiles.
Technical support
Students with technical problems, profile mismatches or course registration errors should report promptly to the Computer and ICT Centre. Faculty Officers and Departmental Level Advisers can also provide support and guidance.
