The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has announced that its second-batch hostel bed-space allocation portal will open on Friday, 16 October 2026 at 2:00 pm for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The university said bed spaces will be allocated through the “Fastest Finger” method. Interested students should note the opening date and time.
Hostel allocation and clearance
Students who receive a bed-space allocation must complete payment and documentation within two days of allocation. UNIBEN said any space not cleared within that period will be withdrawn and reallocated.
Prohibited items and penalties
UNIBEN also reminded students of its hostel ban on items including hot plates, microwave ovens, washing machines, electric kettles and gas cookers.
The university stated that violating this ban carries a penalty of rustication or expulsion.
