The Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho (FUNATO) has released its admission list for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Candidates offered a course other than their first choice must also respond to the redirected course offer within one week from 8 October 2026.
How to check the admission list
Admission status is currently available only through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS). The JAMB CAPS guide explains the platform.
- Visit the JAMB eFacility portal.
- Log in with the candidate’s JAMB username and password.
- Scroll down and select Check Admission Status.
- Select Access my CAPS.
- Select Admission Status to check for an offer from FUNATO.
What the admission status messages mean
- ADMISSION OFFERED: JAMB has approved the admission. The candidate can proceed with accepting or rejecting the offer.
- ADMISSION IN PROGRESS (AIP): The institution has reviewed the application and recommended the candidate. Approval by the Head of Institution and JAMB’s final review are still pending.
- RECOMMENDED: The institution has considered the candidate and the application awaits JAMB’s review against the required criteria.
- NOT ADMITTED: The candidate has not yet been considered or selected. The list may not have been released or the application may still be awaiting review.
- PENDING: The application remains under review, with no decision yet.
Accepting or rejecting an offer
Candidates offered admission are required to accept or reject it through either of these methods:
- Biometric authentication at an approved JAMB computer-based test (CBT) centre.
- SMS: send ACCEPT or REJECT to 55019 or 66019 from the phone number registered with JAMB.
The SMS instructions require ₦50 in the main airtime balance. JAMB cannot deduct the charge from borrowed airtime or Xtra Credit.
After accepting the offer, candidates should print their JAMB admission letter.
Viewing CAPS on a phone
Some phone users may see only a welcome message, without the Admission Status option. They should switch the browser to desktop mode to display the full page.
The notice recommends Chrome for phone users. In Chrome’s options, selecting Request desktop site displays the complete page.
Instructions for redirected candidates
FUNATO said redirected offers are based on candidates’ JAMB scores, O’level subject combinations and the available quota in their preferred courses. The University said the arrangement is intended to include qualified candidates.
Affected candidates must accept or reject the redirected course on JAMB CAPS within one week from 8 October 2026.
- Log in to JAMB CAPS.
- Accept the new course if the candidate wishes to take the redirected offer or reject it within the stated response window.
Failure to accept within that week will be treated as rejection and the place will be offered to another candidate on the waiting list. No change of course will be allowed after acceptance of the redirected course.
