Documents for new applications
A recent passport-style photograph against a white background.
A current course registration record or an official university letter confirming enrolment and level.
The latest university transcript or statement of results.
Direct Entry qualification results, where applicable. Direct Entry applicants awaiting university results should submit their entry qualification results for assessment.
One signed recommendation letter from the Faculty Dean, Sub-Dean or Head of Department, addressed to The Scholarship Committee, FAJIM Medicare Foundation.
New-applicant form and selection
New applicants should complete the FAJIM new-applicant form and upload all required documents before the deadline. Information must be accurate and documents clear and legible.
Shortlisted applicants will be contacted for further assessment and verification. Successful applicants will receive formal notification and instructions for accepting their awards.
Renewals for current scholars
Current FAJIM Scholars seeking support for 2026/2027 must complete the separate renewal form. The form and submission instructions will be shared directly in the official FAJIM Scholars’ WhatsApp group. Current scholars should not complete the new-applicant form.
Renewal applicants should provide updated academic information, financial circumstances, participation records and the supporting documents requested in the renewal form.
Renewals are assessed against the conditions of each scholar’s existing award and available funding. The new-applicant criteria do not replace existing renewal conditions.
Support and scholar responsibilities
Selected scholars receive assistance towards education expenses alongside mentorship, academic guidance and community service opportunities. Scholars are expected to:
Maintain strong academic performance and uphold integrity.
Participate in mentorship sessions, health education and scholar activities.
Volunteer in at least one FAJIM or other health outreach programme each year.
Submit academic results and progress updates when requested.
Communicate circumstances affecting their studies or participation.
New applications are assessed on academic performance, financial need and commitment to the programme. All awards are subject to verification and available funding. Submitting either form does not guarantee an award.
