Nasarawa State University, Keffi will open its online Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening registration for the 2026/2027 undergraduate admission exercise on 17 July 2026 and the portal will close on 14 October 2026. Eligible candidates must complete the online screening, pay the N2,000 processing fee and upload the required results to their JAMB profiles.

Only candidates who meet the stated UTME or Direct Entry conditions will be considered for admission. The phone number entered during registration must belong to the candidate.

When will NSUK Post UTME registration begin and end?

Registration will begin on 17 July 2026 and will end on 14 October 2026.

Candidates will complete the exercise through the NSUK 2026 Post-UTME Screening Portal. The application is online and participation is compulsory for every candidate seeking admission through UTME or Direct Entry.

Who is eligible for the NSUK Post UTME screening?

UTME applicants must meet the first-choice condition, the programme cut-off mark and the O’level requirements. They must also upload their results to the JAMB profile through an accredited CBT centre.

What are the UTME eligibility requirements?

A UTME applicant must:

  • Have sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
  • Have selected Nasarawa State University, Keffi as first choice.
  • Have the required minimum UTME score for the chosen programme.
  • Have at least five O’level credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, from WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, NBAIS or another relevant examination body.
  • Present the required credits in no more than two sittings.
  • Upload the O’level result to the JAMB profile at a JAMB-accredited CBT centre.

The O’level requirements for Mathematics and French have been waived for candidates who applied for French.

A candidate must meet the score listed for the chosen programme. The general minimum for programmes outside the named list is 160.

Who is eligible for NSUK Direct Entry screening?

Direct Entry applicants must have an accepted A’level qualification, the required O’level credits and a complete JAMB result upload.

An applicant must have one of the following qualifications:

  • A National Diploma or Nasarawa State University Diploma at Lower Credit or above.
  • Nigeria Certificate in Education at Merit level.
  • Eight points in IJMB for Direct Entry.

The applicant must also have at least five O’level credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, at no more than two sittings from WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, NBAIS or another relevant examination body.

Direct Entry candidates seeking Community Health, Environmental Health Science or Health Information Management must hold a licence from the relevant professional body. Evidence of the licence must be uploaded during the Post-UTME application.

How much is the NSUK screening fee?

The processing fee is N2,000.00, which is two thousand Naira only.

Candidates will select a screening payment option on the portal after creating an account, signing in and entering the required personal details. A completed payment alone does not replace the remaining screening steps.

How will candidates apply for NSUK Post UTME or Direct Entry screening?

The application will be completed through the university screening portal.

  1. Visit the NSUK 2026 Post-UTME Screening Portal.
  2. Create an account and complete the profile set-up.
  3. Select the application type marked “2026/2027 POST-UTME application”.
  4. Enter an email address and create a password.
  5. Verify the email address with the one-time password sent to the applicant.
  6. Sign in with the email address and password used for the account.
  7. Enter the required personal information.
  8. Enter A’level details where the application is for Direct Entry.
  9. Select a payment option and pay the N2,000 screening fee.
  10. Enter the scratch card details for the result issued by NECO, NABTEB, WAEC, NBAIS or another relevant examination body.
  11. Complete the application and confirm that the status shows “Screening in Progress”.
  12. Return after 24 hours to check the screening result.
  13. Print the Application Summary/Payment Invoice.

Candidates must confirm that the online screening is successful because only successful screening records will be considered for admission. The phone number used for the application must be the candidate’s own number.

What results must be uploaded to the JAMB profile?

UTME and Direct Entry applicants must visit a JAMB-accredited CBT centre to upload their O’level or A’level results to the JAMB profile. This JAMB upload is required even after the candidate has completed the NSUK online screening.

A candidate who fails to complete the JAMB upload will be ineligible for admission.

When will the screening result be available?

Candidates are expected to return to the screening portal after 24 hours to check the result.

The application status will first show “Screening in Progress”. The candidate should later confirm that the online screening was successful and print the Application Summary/Payment Invoice.

Is the online NSUK screening compulsory?

The online Post-UTME screening is compulsory.

Any UTME or Direct Entry candidate who does not take part will not be considered for admission, even where the candidate meets the programme score and result requirements.

What happens after an admission offer appears on JAMB CAPS?

Candidates must monitor their admission status through the JAMB portal. An approved admission offer must be accepted within four weeks.

Failure to accept the offer within that grace period will lead to cancellation of the admission. The candidate will be placed under the “refusal to accept category” and will be ineligible for readmission.

Which candidates must change their programmes?

Some applicants must change from the broad or unavailable programme initially selected to one of the listed options.

What should Mass Communication applicants do?

Mass Communication has been unbundled. Candidates who initially selected Mass Communication must change to one of these programmes:

  • Journalism and Media Studies
  • Broadcasting
  • Public Relations

What should Estate Management applicants do?

Nasarawa State University, Keffi does not offer Estate Management. Affected candidates must change to either Building Technology or Architecture.

What should Agriculture applicants do?

Candidates who applied for Agriculture must change to one of the available specialised options:

  • Agricultural Economics and Extension
  • Animal Science
  • Agronomy
  • Aquaculture and Fisheries Management
  • Forestry and Wildlife Management

What should candidates check before completing the form?

Candidates should check the chosen programme, UTME score, O’level or A’level details and JAMB profile upload before completing the screening form. Direct Entry applicants for the named health programmes should also check that evidence of the required professional licence has been uploaded.

The email address must be accessible for OTP verification and the phone number must belong to the applicant. After submission, the candidate should check the screening outcome after 24 hours and retain the printed Application Summary/Payment Invoice.
